Carmen Chan graduated with a Diploma in Fine Art from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in August 2025 and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University in Australia. Before returning to art school, she was a stay-at-home mother, running a small but extremely lively household where she managed everything from budgets to bedtime negotiations. It taught her resilience, time management, and the ability to think on her feet (often while someone was asking for a snack).

During her time at NAFA, Carmen received four Dean’s List Awards, two Diploma Scholarships (2023 and 2024), the Best Graduate in Fine Art award, and served as Valedictorian at her convocation. In 2025, she was selected by renowned artist, Liu Bolin, through an open call to assist in Canvas of Hope, a collaborative project with the Rare Disorders Society Singapore.

With over a decade of experience in Public Relations and Corporate Communications across the media, MICE, and hospitality sectors, Carmen brings a storyteller’s instinct and a communicator’s clarity to her artistic practice. In return, her exploration in fine art keeps her PR work rooted in empathy, experimentation, and an eye for the human narrative.

Carmen continues to shape her practice at the intersection of art, communication, and lived experience—always guided by the belief that creativity connects, empowers, and reveals what words sometimes cannot.
