About the artist

Carmen Chan is currently completing her final year of a Diploma in Fine Art at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia. Prior to her time at NAFA, she held multiple roles—Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Human Resources Manager, Culinarian, Custodian, and Governess—at the Chan Household.

At NAFA, she has received three Dean's List Awards and two Scholarship Awards (Diploma) in 2023 and 2024.

​

With over a decade of experience in Public Relations (PR) and Corporate Communications in the media, MICE and hospitality industries, Carmen believes her skills in narrative-building and audience engagement enrich her art practice—while her exploration in fine art, in turn, brings new perspectives to her PR approach.

She gives back to the community by singing in an all-women community choir that raises money for charity.
